In May 1986 he launched the Delta HF 4WD, designed for the general user in use. The traction is integral permanent; includes front differential, epicyclic central differential which distributes torque to 56% on the front axle and the remaining 44% on the rear axle, a locking viscous Ferguson joint applied to the central differential transfer case and rear differential Torsen. The center differential ensures a distribution of torque between the two axles in relation to the effective degree of adherence of the same. The Torsen limited-slip differential that is a guarantee, compared to a normal differential, maximum traction compatible with the adhesion of wheels. The engine is derived from the Lancia Thema: 1995 cm³ with Garrett turbocharger; delivers a maximum power of 165 hp at 5,500 rpm / min and motive unacoppia of 29 kgm with overboost added. An integrated system with the lighting electronically controlled detonation sensor, prevents the entry into dell'overboost function Motor too cold or overheated. The overboost acts on the waste-gate valve temporarily increasing turbo pressure. An intercooler reduces the temperature of compressed air from 120 to 70/50 degrees. The valves are sodium, bronze valve guides, the tri-metallic type of connecting rod bearings and there is a radiator for cooling the engine oil. The braking system has discs on all four wheels; the front ones are ventilated. The torque split is 54/46 front to rear.
